The Witch Doctor Who Found Peace

Recently, Doulos Partners shared an incredible story:
In a remote part of the world, where there are no schools, hospitals, or grocery stores — and where people still rely on witch doctors for healing — the Word of God is breaking through.
One local witch doctor heard the message of Jesus, believed, and was forever changed. He immediately began telling others about his new faith. As he shared the Good News, 11 Discovery Bible Study groups sprang up almost overnight, ranging from 11 to 17 people each.
When disciple-makers traveled there to provide training, something remarkable happened: 57 people were baptized in two days — including the witch doctor himself.
And the story didn’t stop there. Word spread beyond the villages. Even an immigration officer reached out, saying he had many people eager to learn more about the Bible and become disciple-makers themselves. He offered to cover all the costs of training to make it happen.
From a single transformed life, entire communities are now hearing the gospel — and responding.
“Paul wrote: ‘The Word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints and their marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart.’ (Hebrews 4:12)
